You can build your own portfolio by buying whisky on THE SWEX. The steps to buy a whisky are as follows:
Go to the whisky catalogue via the menu bar at the top of the page and choose bottles, bottles in cask (virtual bottles) or ready-made baskets.
Bottles and Bottles in Cask
1. Using the search function or the various filters, you can search for and select bottles and casks based on characteristics that you find important.
2. Once you have found the bottle or barrel you want, you can select it by clicking 'Add to portfolio'.
- If the product is already for sale (products with a sell order), you can buy it directly by clicking on 'Buy now'. Then select the desired quantity.
- If a bottle is not for sale, you can place a buy order via the 'Place buy order' button. Then select the desired quantity, enter the price for which you want to buy it and select an expiration period.
3. Press 'Confirm' and check your purchase.
4. Press 'Buy now' or 'Place buy order' to complete your order.
Once an order has been executed, the whisky you then own will be in your portfolio.
Baskets
1. To view the contents of a basket, click on the tile of a specific basket.
2. Once you have found a suitable basket, you can select it by clicking on 'Add to portfolio'.
3. Press 'Confirm' and check your purchase.
4. Press 'Buy now' to complete your order.
Once an order has been fulfilled, the individual bottles of whisky and whisky in cask (virtual bottles) that you then own will be in your portfolio.
