Bottles
A right environment is required for whisky bottle collection. Bottles need to be kept away from sunlight and should be stored below room temperature. Whisky bottles also need to be kept upright, as their corks do not seal the same way that wine bottle corks do but above all, may slowly dissolve due to the alcoholic strength of the liquid.

All bottles of whisky are stored in Scotch Whisky International B.V.'s secure storage facilities in the Netherlands and Scotland.

Casks
Must be stored in a government bonded warehouse. It means that the cask is constantly monitored for proper conditions by an expert, can never be forged or faked, and is wellprotected and safe while it matures and develops its quality.

Cask maintenance and monitoring (or cask management) is a service of THE SWEX. The management of these casks and bottling is carried out by Scotch Whisky International B.V.'s secure storage facilities in Scotland.
