All whiskies on THE SWEX are automatically insured at current market value. The market value of a bottle is equal to THE SWEX market price. THE SWEX market price is built using historical data from four components: Whiskystats auction data, Whiskystats retail sales data, THE SWEX transactions, and SWI investment management agreement transactions. Only for the physical bottles are the insurance costs included in the storage fee that you pay per quarter.
