We are of course sorry to hear that you are considering closing your account. If you temporarily no longer wish to trade, it may be good to know that we do not charge any costs for maintaining an account. This means that you do not pay any costs if you are not active and you do not have whisky in your portfolio. You can therefore also choose to keep your account open, so that you can continue investing later.


We understand that investing can seem a bit complicated to some. To help with this, we have made THE SWEX Academy available. Here the basic principles of investing in whisky and how our platform works are explained. This way you can start investing in whisky at your own pace and only place your first order when you are ready.


Your account can only be closed if all positions in your portfolio have been closed and there are no shortages in your balance. We therefore request that you close any positions in the portfolio and clear any shortages before confirming that your account can be closed.


Once closed, your account cannot be reopened. If you still want to continue investing with THE SWEX, you will have to start the registration process from the beginning.


You can close your account by following the following steps:


1. After logging in select 'My SWEX' from the taskbar at the top right of your screen.

2. Then click on 'Profile'.

3. Scroll down until you see 'Delete account'.
